To ensure wild birds continue to bring colour and song into your garden it is essential to feed them regularly and correctly all year round. The RSPB and BTO officially recommend feeding during the summer breeding period as well as the winter time.
 Continual changes to our environment means that many birds suffer from shortages of food and habitats. Relocation into gardens provide suitable breeding habitats but rarely a supply of natural food. Therefore, a constant supply of supplementary food is essential during winter and summer.
